Raymond Minter was born on October 26, 1923 in Martinsburg, Nebraska to parents, Ben and Maggie Bombar Minter. He died on October 7, 2017 at his home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 93 years. Ray served in the United States Army during WWII in Europe until his honorable discharge. He was united in marriage to Martha Eilers on May 9, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa. Ray worked over the years as an agriculture mechanic and as an auto-body repairman for many years. He was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hermiston, Oregon. Ray loved life, family, baseball, fishing and people.
He is survived by his sons: Clyde Minter, San Mateo, CA and Gordon Minter, Kennewick, WA; grandsons: Gordie, Jake, Nick, David and Andrew; 1 great grandson: Eli.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his sister: Mary White.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 515 SW 7th St., Hermiston, Oregon.
