Edwin "Tuffy" Horn

Edwin “Tuffy” Horn of Hermiston, Oregon was born on September 19, 1926 in Greeley, Colorado. On December 30, 2016 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 90 years, he joined the one true love of his life, his wife Sara May in heaven. Tuffy served in the United States Army in Korea during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged returned to Elgin, Oregon. He married Sara Scott and they moved to Albany, Oregon in the mid 1950's . They moved to Hermiston, Oregon in the early 1970's where he has lived since. 

Anyone who knew Tuffy well, knew that elk hunting and fishing were two of his passions in life. He always looked forward hunting season to traveling to Elgin, Oregon to go elk hunting with his brothers. As much as he loved hunting and fishing, the one true love of his life was his wife Sara May and his family. Family always came first with Tuffy and there was nothing that he wouldn’t do to help anyone in his family that was in need. He was a simple man who worked hard all of his life to provide his family with a good life. Tuffy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tuffy was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Sara May (Scott) Horn, his parents: Clarence and Lilie Horn; sisters: Renee Erickson, Betty Cross, Bobbie Hudspeth, Virginia “Ginger” Rand & Alice Horn; brothers: Lawrence “Shorty” Horn, Stanley Horn, Eugene “Bud” Horn, Glen Horn & Vance Horn; son: Jerry Coe.

He is survived by his brother: Danny Horn; daughter: Emilie Faul & her husband Don; son: Mark Horn & his wife Carie; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Elgin Cemetery, Elgin, Oregon.
