Clarence L. Strobel was born on May 30 (Memorial day) 1941 at a home on a farm ,at Fallon, Montana to parents, Arndt and Emma Stotz Strobel. He died on March 1, 2010 at his home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 68 years. Clarence moved to Absarokee, Montana when he was in the 6th grade. His family had a lot of cows and they needed to be milked twice a day. He absolutely hated that job but his sister Shirley could not milk a cow to save her life, so he always had to milk her cows too. He loved to fly fish on the Stillwater River and played high school basketball. He graduated in 1959. In 1961, now living in Billings, MT he married his high school sweetheart, Jeanette Foust and shortly there after started working for the Volks Wagon Organization as a Service Manager. In 1962 their son Kenneth was born and in 1964 their daughter Terri joined the family. During this time he built an air boat and loved running it on the Yellowstone River. He and his brother Allen even took a long trip up the Yellowstone. In 1969 he moved the family to Hermiston, Oregon. He still worked for Volks Wagon, but now as a District Manager, and he did a lot of traveling. In 1978 he joined Jeanette and became a Real Estate Broker keeping him very busy for 31 years. When the kids were still at home, the family enjoyed fishing, camping, and going back to Montana for family visits. After the kids moved out, he and Jeanette liked to go to the Oregon Coast and fly stunt kites, attend Trail Blazer games, travel some, and shoot prairie dogs in Montana. Please sign the condolence book at www.burnsmortuaryhermiston.com
