Jordon R Epperson

Jordon R. Epperson was born on December 2, 1943 in Vinita, Oklahoma. He died on May 18, 2015 at his home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 71 years. 

At the age of 13 he moved to Sweet Home, Oregon. He lived there for another 30 years, where he worked in the lumber Industry, then started his own trucking company. He then moved to Hermiston, Oregon where he has lived for the last 28 years. Jordon finished his working years driving local in Hermiston. He loved hunting and camping with family and race cars. Jordon became an avid fisherman, fishing in the Columbia River for countless hours. He started an annual fishing reunion for family and friends at the Snake River every year. This year at Catfish Junction (Huntington, Ore.) we will be having his memorial June 14-19 and all are invited. He loved standing around the campfire telling stories with his people. 

He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Pat Epperson, Hermiston, OR; son: Don Epperson, Hermiston, OR; daughter: Robin Epperson, Hermiston, OR; brothers: Jesse Epperson, Tucumcari, NM; Jim Epperson, Sweet Home, OR; John Epperson, Sandy, OR; Jason Epperson, Umatilla, OR; sisters: Jean Kunitte, Boulder, CO, Jackie, Edwards, Lebanon, OR, Janet Edwards, Lebanon, OR, Judy Dean, Sweet Home, OR, Joyce Pecknick, Silver Lake, OR; grandchildren: Randy, Ronny, Clint, Bill, Dan, Donald, Rod, Sarah, Cody, Justin, Steven, Kim, & Cynthia; many great  grandchildren, and nieces and nephews (who also called him grandpa).

Jordon was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jay, a sister Juanita, and granddaughter Sam.  

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel. A potluck gathering will follow at Spillway Park below McNary Dam in Umatilla, Oregon.
