Jedediah W. Aylett was born on August 4, 1930 in Midvale, Utah to parents, Leon Ross Aylett and Alice Inez Smith Aylett. He died on August 28, 2015 at his home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 85 years. Jeddie had a strong work ethic from early on. He delivered newspapers on a horse and in October of 1948 started working in the Bricklayers Union (Local 1-OR). Jeddie joined the United States Air Force and later that same year on November 20, 1949, he married Juanita Sergeant in Portland, Oregon. After his honorable discharge in 1952 he rejoined his wife in Portland, Oregon. They moved to Hermiston, Oregon and purchased a dairy in 1968. He operated the dairy until 1974 and then turned to farming. Through the years he raised many different crops including, potatoes, wheat, corn, alfalfa, and was the first local farmer to raise Walla Walla Sweet Onions. Jeddie was preceded in death by his wife Juanita in 1996. He married Cindy Kozlowski Stout on October 2, 1999 in The Dalles, Oregon. Jeddie enjoyed raising cattle, traveling, playing cards, cribbage, and trips to Wildhorse.

He is survived by his wife: Cindy Aylett, Hermiston, OR; sons: Earl Aylett  (Debbie), Lyle Aylett, Wade Aylett (Debra), & James Stout; daughters: Jeannett Conner, Lanita Cooley (Bob), Chrystal Moore, & Jamie Stout (Waled Mohamed); sister: Isabelle Hauth; grandchildren: Wendy, Tyrone, Jeddie, Rechelle, Christopher, Dillon, Juanita, Kimberly, Rebbecca, Wade, Sabrina, Chelsea, Christina, Skylie, Samantha, Gloria, Lili, Daniel, Araceli, Cinthia, Ricky, Devin, DJ, Braxton, Chloe, Jerry, Ashante, Davion, & Safya; 27 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jeddie was preceded in death by his wife: Juanita, his parents, sister: Ellen Seamster, brother: Ross Aylett, and a nephew: Reed Aylett.    

A celebration of life service with military honors will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.
