Cathy, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was an awesome woman. I have so many great memories from working with her at the Chuckwagon. Every time she handed me the cottage cheese she said " C C senorita!". She taught me never to touch a dish twice and a great work ethic. You guys were a part of a pivotal part of my life and have always been a great influence. My God support you and your family in this difficult time.

My sincere sympathies. I have fond memories from my childhood of the Chuck wagon in its first location. Our favorite place to eat. Such friendly people! My parents were Cecil and Wilda Brown. Cathy, you were my teacher for church or something in the 70's and you left such an impression on me. I always remember you as so beautiful and so kind. Your Mom was a wonderful sweet lady. My prayers for you and your family. Sincerely, Lisa Brown Severns

A little less sunshine today since Dorothy has gone. She was a dear friend. We got acquainted when I worked for her and Duane at the Chuckwagon in 1971. I worked as a waitress and cook until they changed to a buffet in 1973. My husband and I were regulars as well as my parents. Many deeds Dorothy did for people that others never knew of. When a friend of mine needed a ride to Portland home for unwed mothers in the middle of a bad winter, it was Dorothy and Duane who took her. Dorothy treated us all like family. When my father died at the wheel of his truck in 1984, Dorothy invited my entire family to dinner at her expense at the Chuckwagon and reserved the place for grieving. She invited us all again in 1990 when my mother died after open-heart surgery. When my husband died in 1995, Dorothy again extended her sympathy and food. She is like family to us. God bless her family in their grief.

Many memories going all the way back to 1976. A strong will, a willing hand, a ready smile an open heart. Thank you Dorothy.
