Betty Lankford was a wonderful and supportive next-door neighbor of the Tibbles family for 30+ years. In fact, one day in 1996, Betty noticed that our mother had not opened her bedroom blinds at the usual time. Betty called the house phone and getting no answer, knew there was a problem! With significant effort, Betty got into the house and found Mother on the bedroom floor where she'd fallen -- unable to get up. Betty immediately call the paramedics and Mother was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital.
When Mother came home from the hospital, live-in caregivers were arranged. Betty worked with and continued to be very helpful and supportive of the caregivers. She also took care of Mother's flowers, especially the roses and 4 o-clocks visible from her kitchen window.
The Tibbles family with forever appreciate and be thankful for all the years of friendship. We will miss her greatly.
