William "Bill" E Martin

William E. “Bill” Martin was born on August 2, 1936 in Hermiston, Oregon to parents, Marion and Sarah (Vaughan) Martin. He died on November 24, 2024 at his home in Stanfield, Oregon at the age of 88 years. Bill was raised and attended schools in Stanfield, Oregon. He graduated from Stanfield High School in the class of 1954. Bill then began a lifelong career in the sheet-metal trade. He was united in marriage to Amy Smith on April 2, 1966 in Kennewick, Washington. Bill served in the Oregon National Guard and was a member of the Northwest Sheet Metal Workers local #55. He enjoyed cattle, horses, hunting, fishing and time with his family. 

He is survived by his wife 58 years: Amy Martin, Stanfield, OR; son: Dirk Martin & his wife Tina, Pendleton, OR; grandsons: Macon Martin & his wife Janessa and Miles Martin & his wife Meggan; great granddaughter: Jacee; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ted and Bobby; and sisters: Francis and Evelyn. 

A family burial will be at a later date at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Stanfield, Oregon.
