Thomas Arch DeBoie of Hermiston was born on December 31st, 1929 in Joseph, Oregon to Clyde “Pike” and Ruth (McNaughton) DeBoie. He passed away in Hermiston, Oregon on May 14th, at the age of 95.
Thomas lived in Joseph during his childhood. He moved to Pendleton with his family where he attended high school and graduated in the class of 1948. He married Georgie Anne Bourassa on June 7th, 1952. That same year, he joined the US army to fight in the Korean war. After his honorable discharge in May 1954 he returned to Hermiston and went to work at Umatilla Chemical Depot where he worked various roles. He retired in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dan; and his three sisters; Maurine Ferguson; Katherine (Kate) Williamson; and Phyliss Rost.
Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, especially near Mt. Adams during huckleberry picking season. He is survived by his wife of 73 years; Georgie of Hermiston; daughter, Patricia Skipper (John); son, Don DeBoie; daughter Annette Gault (Clint); granddaughter Amy Natali (Justin) and three great-grandchildren, Holden, Lorelei and August.
At his request, there will be no service. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements
