Shannon Michael Nichols

Shannon Michael Nichols was born on December 3, 1973 in Quito, Ecuador. He died on December 11, 2025 at his home in Lakewood, Washington at the age of 52 years. Shannon was raised by his parents, John Nichols Jr and A. Ruth Nichols in Wasco County, Oregon and later in Umatilla County, graduating from Hermiston High School in the class of 1992. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in Germany and 2 tours in Kuwait. Shannon was honorably discharged and has lived in Lakewood, Washington since. He had worked as a security guard for Pacific Security for over 15 years. Growing up, Shannon enjoyed fishing, wrestling and participating in 4-H.

He is survived by his parents: John and Ruth Nichols, Hermiston, OR; sisters: Cindy Vandiver, Alaska, Sheryl Markland, Pasco, WA, Peggy Hartjan, Sulfur, LA and Brianne Silva, Hermiston, OR; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A family gathering will be held at a later date.
