Robert “Frank” Denton, age 78, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Stanfield, Oregon. He was born on July 30, 1947, in Cullman, Alabama, to parents, Hershel Robert Denton and Eleanor Janet Payne.

Frank grew up in Portland, Oregon, where he attended Grant High School, graduating in the Class of 1965. While still in high school, he joined the United States Army and went on to serve three tours in Vietnam before receiving an honorable discharge in 1969. His service to his country was a source of pride throughout his life.

In 1979, Frank moved to Long Creek, Oregon, where he became a well-known member of the community, owning and operating Frank’s Country Store. In 1990, Frank married Judy. Together, they built a life in Long Creek, where they lived for 35 years before moving to Stanfield in 2025.

Frank was known for his wry sense of humor, his love of the outdoors, his dedication to his family, and his strong work ethic. He was a man who valued hard work, loyalty, and time spent with those he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Denton; his children, Heather Denton, Joe Denton, Misty Swaggart (John), and Clay Engle (Maria); his sister, Thelma; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Louie, and several beloved aunts and uncles.
