Robert A. “Bob” Denney of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on January 12, 1970 in Redding, California to parents, Jerrye and Dennis Denney. He passed away on February 4, 2020 in Federal Way, Washington after complications from surgery at the age of 50 years. Bob lived his early life in Anderson, California where he graduated from high school and volunteered as a firefighter. He later moved to Washington and worked as a baker for Safeway and for Alaska Airlines as a luggage handler. Bob moved to Hermiston and went to work as an officer at Two Rivers Correctional Institution. He was diagnosed with MS and later retired because of failing health.
He is survived by his daughter: Autumn Denney, Hermiston, OR; mother: Jerrye Kopp, Auburn, WA; sister: Susan Widdell (Eddie), Umatilla, OR; 3 nieces: Morgan Arik, Irrigon, OR, Tiffany Arik, Kennewick, WA, Shaelynn Gilbert, Hermiston, OR; nephew: Stetson Gilbert, Hermiston, OR; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his father: Dennis Denney; step father: Jerry Kopp; brother: William A Denney and his grandparents.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
