Robert Muniz

Robert Muniz of Hermiston was born September 5, 1971 in Portland, Oregon the son of Miguel and Olivia Muniz. He passed away in Hermiston on October 30, 2023 at the age of 52.

He attended school in the Weston McEwen School district where he became a Tiger Scott fan. He graduated from Walla Walla High School in the class of 1989. Robert worked as a farm maintenance mechanic for Agri Northwest in Hermiston for several years. 

Robert had a love for football and was a serious fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos, kayaking, gardening and BBQing ribs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Miguel Muniz, Jr.; two sisters, Gloria Razo and Jane Lopez.

He is survived by a brother, Eugene Muniz; sister, Marizela Gutierrez; stepson, Carlos Ayala; nieces and nephews who he was very proud of: Andy, Hallie, Tito, Izzy, James, Miguel, Angel, Chris, Brianna, Layla and Alejandra.

A Memorial service will be at Noon on Saturday November 4, 2023 at the Burns Mortuary Chapel (685 W. Hermiston Avenue Hermiston, OR).
