Randall "Randy" Hoeft Obituary

Randall Freeman Hoeft of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on February 18, 1963 in Pendleton, Oregon to parents, Gary and Sharon (Erdman) Hoeft. He died on May 14, 2023, at the age of 60 years, from complications due to an accident on the farm.  Randy was raised and attended school in Pilot Rock, Oregon, graduating from Pilot Rock High School in the class of 1981. He worked at McDonald’s and worked his way up to managing both the Hermiston and Pendleton McDonalds. He found the love of his life while at Mcdonalds and married Tania Kopacz on March 22, 1987 in Hermiston, Oregon. After 1997, he went to work for JR Simplot where he became a journeyman mechanic. Randy has worked for Lamb Weston since 2005. Randy was a big family man and enjoyed many things involving the people he loved; camping, 4-wheeling, kicking butt at Uno, and cooking in his Dutch Ovens. He hunted for elk, deer, and his infamous bear, Rattles, that he got to enjoy mounted on the wall at home. Farming was a hidden passion of Randy's that he got to enjoy on the side.

He is survived by his wife: Tania Hoeft, Hermiston, OR; son: Cody Ray Hoeft (John West), Hermiston, OR; daughter: Callie Ann Hoeft, Hermiston, OR; mother: Sharon Hoeft, Hermiston, OR; sister: Peggy Neal (Jeff) John Day, OR; Father and Mother-in-law: Ray & Sherrie Kopacz, Hermiston, OR; brother-in-law: Marek Kopacz, Hermiston, OR, numerous nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Gary Hoeft and sister, Patty Hoeft.
