Patricia "Pat" J (Gray) Wheelhouse

Patricia Jeanne “Pat” (Gray) Wheelhouse of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on May 25, 1936 at home in La Grande, Oregon, delivered by her Grandma Rosella Nice and neighbor Jeanne Ball. She passed away on March 21, 2024 in Hermiston, Oregon with her daughter, Cindy and granddaughter Jennifer at her side at the age of 87 years. 

Pat worked for the City of Hermiston for over 35 years. She started as a part time typist and worked her way up to Executive Secretary when she retired.

When Pat was 5 she started tap dancing lessons and later in life taught tap dancing. Pat loved music and reading. After retirement Pete and Pat enjoyed going on many cruises and community events.

Pat was very proud to have been a founding member of Altrusa International of Hermiston.

She is survived by her sister: Mary Bousquet; sister: Cindy Thompson (Dan); son: Russell Wheelhouse (Joyce); stepchildren: Narita Vanderlinden (Brian); Bill Wheelhouse, Richard Wheelhouse; grandchildren: Jennifer Krogh (John), Jason Thompson (Nina), Kaytlin Perri, Tyler Hoyt; great grandchildren: Emily & Hailey Krogh, Ashley & Andrew Sherman, Kaleb Perri & Annabelle Quick; numerous nieces and nephews.  
 
Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Edna Gray, husband: Pete Wheelhouse, son: Michael Wheelhouse and daughter-in-law: Jackie Wheelhouse.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Hermiston, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat's memory may be made to the Altrusa Scholarship fund of Vange John Memorial Hospice Education Fund.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
