Patricia "Pat" Ann (Chandler) Maret

Patricia A. “Pat” Maret of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on March 11, 1941, in La Grande, Oregon to parents, Loyd and Vina (Kennedy) Chandler. She died on September 7, 2025 in Richland, Washington at the age of 84 years. Pat was raised and attended schools in the La Grande, Oregon area (Island City). She married William “Bill” Maret on October 1, 1955, in La Grande, Oregon. They lived in various locations due to Bill’s job with the Union Pacific Railroad before settling in Hermiston, OR in 1968. They had 3 children: Glenn, Jim, and Colleen. Bill died in 1986. Pat began her career with Good Shepherd Hospital in 1973 and worked as a CNA and later in medical records until retiring in 1998. She married Connie Maret and they spent many years together before he died in 2024. Pat enjoyed many hobbies to include sewing, bead work, knitting, crocheting, gardening, fishing, and baking. She cherished time with her family and loved her animals dearly.

She is survived by her sons: Glenn (Celeste) Maret, Irrigon, OR and Jim (Christy) Maret, Nyssa, OR; sisters: Cheryl Endicott, Klamath Falls, OR and Dorothy Smith, Gresham, OR; grandchildren:  Dave Stewart, Angie Anteau, Justin Maret, Dustan Maret, Chris Maret, Brooke Shaw, Jamie Christian, Coral Maret, Megan Presley, and Jelisa Pantoja; great grandchildren: Sean Stewart, Alexia, Nora and Trenten Anteau, and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.      

Pat was preceded in death by her husbands: Bill and Connie; her parents Loyd and Vina Chandler, her daughter: Colleen Maret; sisters: Rosemary Hill and Lucille Spencer and a grandson: Jason Anteau. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.
