Panfilo Rios, Sr., 80, passed away on September 3, 2024 in Idaho Falls, ID. He was born on April 6, 1944 to Bill and Mary Rios in Nyssa, OR. Panfilo, who many affectionately called "Ponch" or "Poncho" lived with his wife, Virginia, whom he married in Payette, ID on November 3, 1967, after serving in the Vietnam War. Chief Rios was a well-loved officer known for always having time for family, friends, and strangers, alike.  He had the ability to make anyone smile and took extreme pride in his family.
