Orville "John" Brinser

Orville “John” Brinser, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at his home in Hermiston, Oregon surrounded by his family at the age of 82 years. He was born on March 30, 1943, in St. Joseph Missouri, and later he and his family relocated to Fairview, Oregon where he attended Gresham High school. John then served in the Oregon National Guard from 1961-1966. He had a strong work ethic, working various jobs before landing at Stanley Hydraulic Tools where he worked for 28 years until he retired. John then moved to Lapine, Oregon, wishing to live his retirement dream. While in Lapine, he joined a bowling league and became a steadfast member of the senior community until moving to Hermiston in 2020. 

John found joy in life’s simple pleasures—time spent with family, camping, hunting, fishing, and watching his favorite team the Green Bay Packers. His wisdom, humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by those closest to him. 

John is survived by his son: Gordon Brinser (Melissa); Daughters: Tammy Davis (Lee) and Tracey Johnson (Doug); 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother: Ken Brinser (Sue) and various nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A life well lived, a man deeply loved, and a memory that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Oregon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. View Golf Coarse in Boring, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers those who wish may make contributions in John's memory to Vange John memorial Hospice Education Fund.
