Norma "Jean" Hendry Obituary

Norma “Jean” Hendry of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on July 16, 1929 in Bedford, Iowa to parents, Frank and Gladys McCarty Heatherington. She died on January 10, 2020 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 90 years. Jean was united in marriage to Lawrence Hendry on September 3, 1957 in Stevenson, Washington. She enjoyed gardening, music, canning, 4-wheeling and traveling. After Lawrence retired, they spent over 10 years snow-birding in Bouse, Arizona.

She is survived by her daughters: Lorie Hendry-Vincent, Hermiston, OR, Suse Holt, Umatilla, OR; sons: Jess McNeese and Raymond McNeese both of Hermiston, OR; sister: Doris Book, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, a son: David Hendry, 2 brothers: Buster and Marion and 2 sisters: Arlene and Thelma.

A graveside burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on April 10, 2020 at the Mt. View Cemetery, Corbett, Oregon.
