Michael R. “Mike” Shaffer of Umatilla, Oregon, was born on September 19, 1972 in Salem, Oregon. He died on August 30, 2023 in Boise, Idaho at the age of 50 years. Mike was raised in Salem, Oregon before moving to Umatilla, Oregon in 1987 where he has lived since. He loved music, (playing guitar and writing music) was a talented artist, who enjoyed karaoke and had a great sense of humor. Mike was loved and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his parents: Becky & Tom Wiggins, Hermiston, OR; son: Gunner Shaffer, Irrigon, OR; sisters: Jeni Reeves (Joe), Hermiston, OR, Ashley Erevia (Tony), Hermiston, OR, Traci Meredith (Charles), Albany, OR, Tomi King (Jason), Sublimity, OR; brother: Richard Wiggins, Woodburn, OR; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
