Michael "Mike" D Albright

Michael D. “Mike” Albright was born on September 26, 1961 in Mexico, Missouri to parents, Doris and Joseph Albright. He passed away on February 20, 2025 at home at the age of 63 years. Mike was raised and attended school in Umatilla, Oregon where he played basketball. He graduated from Umatilla High School in the class of 1979. Mike served in the United States Air Force from 1979 until his honorable discharge in 1983, stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. He was united in marriage to Veronica Flores on January 3, 1983. He worked at Payless from 1984 until 1992 when he went to work for WalMart where he was currently working with 33 years of service. Mike had served as youth pastor at the First Christian Church from 1994 until 2005. He was an avid Raiders Fan. 

He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Veronica; children: Marcus (Valerie), Nicholas, Paul & Victoria; grandchildren: Xander, Lyrik, Ailyn, Delilah & Bailee; sister: JoAnne (Wayne); step brother: Mike & Debbie O’Dell; step sister: Patty & Roger Schmidt; step brother: Jim & Gina O’Dell; brothers & sisters in law: Richard & Eloy Flores, Juanita Flores Ayala, Connie Flores & Rodolfo Flores; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by Angel, his mother: Doris O’Dell and step father: Art O’Dell; father: Joseph Albright, grandpa: Lyle Hovinghoff; uncles: Lyle & Royal Hovinghoff; sister: Janet; nephew Travis; In laws: Raul S. Flores & Irene R. Flores; brother in law: Raul Flores Jr; sister in laws: Irene & Maria Isabel Flores.       

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church, 775 W. Highland Ave., Hermiston, Oregon. 

Burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Umatilla, Oregon.
