In Loving Memory of Michael Nathan

Michael Nathan, a cherished father, beloved grandfather, and esteemed resident of Hermiston, Oregon, peacefully departed this world on October 18, 2023. He was originally hailing from Portland, Oregon, born to the caring embrace of Pearlie Mae Nathan and Gilford Bob Nathan on July 27, 1952.

As a devoted father, he cherished his role as the parent of nine children. Although he mourned the loss of his sons, Michael Nathan Jr, Delraye James, and Dusan Nathan, who passed away before him, he is survived by his loving children: Stacy Miller, Curtis Deskins, Alika Nathan, Omari Nathan, Teah Nathan, Ajamu Nathan, Lamya Nathan, and Kai Nathan. His children were the core of his existence, and he took immense joy in watching them grow, not to mention his deep affection for his grandchildren.

In addition to his unwavering love for family, Michael possessed an unquenchable passion for the great outdoors. Nature was his sanctuary, and he discovered tranquility in the beauty that surrounded him. He often sought solace beside serene lakes while fishing or around a campfire beneath the starry sky. This appreciation for the natural world was a legacy he bequeathed to his children, ensuring that his love for the wilderness will continue through the generations.

As we celebrate and remember the life of Michael Nathan, we find solace in the enduring love he leaves behind, the cherished memories that will forever reside in our hearts, and the invaluable lessons he shared with us. His legacy lives on through the family he held so dearly.

In accordance with Michael's expressed wishes, his family has chosen not to hold a traditional funeral service. Instead, we invite you to pay your respects in your own personal way, perhaps by sharing stories, reminiscing about the moments you've shared, or finding a special tribute that resonates with your own connection to Mike.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences received during this time of loss. May the soul of Michael Nathan rest in eternal peace, forever in our hearts.
