Matthew James Mullins, 66, passed away on April 7, 2025 in Stanfield, Oregon, with his wife Jackie by his side. Born on August 16, 1958 in Medford, Oregon, Matthew was raised in Peshastin, Washington, where he excelled in school sports.
He pursued higher education at Wenatchee Valley College and Western Washington University. Matthew dedicated his professional life to home healthcare, offering care and support to others until health challenges led to an early retirement.
Matthew is lovingly remembered by his wife Jackie; children, Miranda (Brandon), JJ (Sasha) and Daniel; grandchildren, Makayla (Jordan), Silas, Ethan, Faith, Grace, Isaac, Alannah, Jonah and Jasper. A great-grandson is expected soon. He is also remembered by his brother-in-law, Peter (Carmen) Van Well and family, sister-in-law, Vicki (Danny) McGregor and family; mother; siblings; aunts; cousins; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe and stepmother Vivian, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved pets who he referred to as his children.
Matthew found joy in watching football and participating in fantasy football leagues. He especially cherished cheering on his grandchildren as they played hockey and practiced Tai Quan Do.
A Memorial Mass will be held on June 20, 2025 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 1315 8th St. NE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802. Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. and conclude at 2:20 P.M.
In honor of Matthew’s memory, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
