Marilyn F. Pourier was born on July 5, 1955 in Igloo, South Dakota to parents, Benjamin Richard Pourier and Hazel Amy Rooks Pourier. She died on August 28, 2022 at her home in Irrigon, Oregon at the age of 67 years. In 1963, the family moved to Umatilla, Oregon and she graduated from Riverside High School in the class of 1973. Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Steve Acock, and they had 2 daughters, Kris and Falon. They later divorced after 30 years of marriage, however reconciled without remarrying. She had worked at Oregon Potato, the Dodge City Inn and DHS in Boardman until she retired. Marilyn was a member of the Irrigon Moose Lodge. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, her beloved dogs and she adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Kris Jackson and Falon Partlow, both of Pendleton, OR; Life Partner: Steve Acock, Irrigon, OR; brother: Maynard Pourier, Irrigon, OR; sisters: Brenda Curnutt, Irrigon, OR, Nora Taylor, Spokane, WA, Eleanor Pourier, Irrigon, OR and Betty June Patton, Rapid City, SD; grandchildren: Gabriel, Kamryn, Rylee, Bailee and Nicholas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Roberta Chivington and brother, John Trundle.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Brenda Curnutt's home in Irrigon.
