Lynda C (Hawks) Jeffries

Lynda C. Jeffries was born on September 18, 1942 in Lebanon, Tennessee to parents, Robert and Patty Williams Hawks. She died on September 4, 2023 at her home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 80 years. Lynda was raised and attended schools in Tennessee. Lynda was united in marriage to Benjamin Robert Jeffries on February 15, 1958 in Tennessee. They lived in Vancouver, Washington and then Boring, Oregon for a time before settling in Umatilla, Oregon in 1979. Lynda worked as a beautician for many years. She enjoyed sewing, making dolls, being a homemaker and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters; Mary Marsing (Dave), Irrigon, OR, Donna Snyder (John), Stanfield, OR; sons: Deryl Jeffries (Jackie), Mt. Pleasant, TN, David Jeffries, Hermiston, OR; brother: Bobby Hawks (Darlene), Lebanon, TN; grandchildren: Alicia, Brianna, Jennifer, Keith, Nicole, Robert, Trisha & Andy; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister, Patricia Hastey.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Ye Ole Pizza Shop, Hermiston, Oregon.
