Louis Vincent Koenig
August 22, 1960-October 2, 2025
Louis Koenig, a beloved family man and passionate gamer, departed for his eternal rest on October 2, 2025, at GSMG in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 65 years old. In his final moments, he was surrounded by the warmth and love of those closest to him.
Born on August 22, 1960, in Falls City, Nebraska, Louis was the cherished son of Marion and Reba Koenig. He lived a life filled with joy, whether it was in the company of family or friends, cultivating his garden, enjoying a round of disc golf, or diving into creative DIY projects around the house. He lived most of his life in Hermiston. He worked at Shari's restaurant for over twenty years, first as a cook and then as a manager. He recently retired from Keystone RV in Pendleton, having worked there for over ten years. For over 25 years, he was married to his wife, Sherrie.
Louis is remembered fondly by his two sons, Brandon and Gary, his daughter Brooke, and his two stepchildren, Dani and Jason. He leaves behind a legacy of love and connection, including his two sisters, Marian and Marijane, and three brothers, Robert, Ronnie (Wanda), and Chris, as well as several cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews throughout Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, grandmother(Mary), and brother (Steven). Following his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no memorial service at this time, allowing his family to hold onto the precious memories they created together. Louis's spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
