Linda F (Bissinger) Newhouse

Linda F. Newhouse was born on November 27, 1950 in Moses Lake, Washington to parents, Telford and Dorothy Bissinger. She died on December 3, 2025 at her home in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 75 years. Linda was raised and attended schools in Hermiston, Oregon, graduating from Hermiston High School in the class of 1969. She worked for a time at JR Simplot and later decided to be a stay at home grandma. Linda married Ronald Newhouse on September 11, 1992 in Tacoma, Washington. She enjoyed her 2 yorkie dogs (Benji & Brodee), shopping, the ocean, puzzles, electronic games, and facebook. Linda cherished spending time with her grandchildren and supporting them in their sports and school activities. Linda was always the the first one down by the wrestling mats to holler and cheer her grandkids. Linda loved her Starbucks and usually was the first one in line to get her triple shot venti mocha. One of her most cherished and adventurous memories was when Linda and Ron rented a motorhome and traveled to Maricopa, Az. to see her son Jeremy and family. One of Linda’s special memories is when she would have her grandkids over before Christmas. They would sit around the table and decorate Christmas cookies together. 

She is survived by her husband: Ron Newhouse, Hermiston, OR; David Foreman, Hermiston, OR; Chris Foreman, Hermiston, OR; and Jeremy Foreman, Maricopa, AZ; daughters: Amy Morse, Hermiston, OR, Ronda Newhouse, Portland, OR and Kelly Medina, Pembrook Pines, FL; brother: Donald Bissinger, Spokane, WA; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Christian Foreman.

Linda's sister in law, Maxine “Mickie” Newhouse joined her in heaven just 30 minutes after she arrived. 

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

A private family burial will be at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.

Contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House.
