Obituary

Joshua Elliot Bartlett of Boardman was born May 7, 1975, in Riverton, Wyoming the son of Elton Howard and Sally Kay (Sutton) Bartlett. He passed away in Hermiston on May 18, 2023, at the age of 48.
Joshua grew up and attended schools in Riverton and Shoshoni, Wyoming, graduating from Shoshoni High School in the class of 1993. He attended college at Central Wyoming, Black Hills State, University of Wyoming, and Eastern Oregon University. While in high school and college, he competed and won state in long distance running as well as in shooting sports.
Joshua worked in many different jobs such as farm work in his youth; as a seismic technician for the oil industry traveling all over the United States and Canada; preparing, delivering, and managing at three Domino's locations; as a certified crane operator in California; and for Belshi Farms in Wasco, OR. His most recent job was for Waste Management where he worked for fifteen years, the last five years were as the District Operations Manager. He was most happy farming, building fence, and operating heavy equipment. But he loved working at Dominoes!
Joshua enjoyed rock climbing, golfing, playing cribbage, was a strong swimmer and all-around great athlete. He competed in several Spartan Races. He was a music buff who knew many details about musicians and bands. He loved music and sports and enjoyed being a compendium of information in both. He loved the openness of big spaces, hanging off the side of a mountain, competing with himself, Maria, his kids, driving long roads, and the softness of a baby’s head cradled under his chin.  Tormenting the kids to learn to play so he had a partner, made him happy. He also liked listening to comedy while taking long road trips. Bill Burr and Chris Porter were two of his favorites. He was quite the comedian himself. Everyone loved his laugh.
He hated rudeness, having to vote, being out on open water, cruelty of any kind, but especially to animals, greed, people not being able to read a map, the loss of his brother.
Joshua married Maria Williams on February 29, 2012, at Arlington, Oregon. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend, and often was the balance wheel to his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Emma, Travis, Isabella Bartlett, Ethan Williams, and Alexander Shane; parents, Sally Bartlett, and Bob Muenchausen; brother, James Muenchausen; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Howard Bartlett, and his brother, Travis Neal Bartlett.
A Celebration of life will be held June 10, 2023, at 10:00 am at Earl Snell Memorial Park in Arlington, OR.
