Joanne I (Reeder) Kosmos

Joanne I. (Reeder) Kosmos of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on November 12, 1940 in Walla Walla, Washington to parents, William Herbert Reeder and Vernita Ellen (Molstrom) Reeder. She died on June 9, 2025 in Richland, Washington at the age of 84 years. Joanne was raised in Pendleton, Oregon, graduating from Pendleton High School. She married Tom Kosmos and they moved to Hermiston, Oregon where they had a farm and raised their family. She was a loving Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Cousin.

She is survived by her daughter Joanna Marikos & her husband John von Haas; sons: Demetrios Kosmos, Matthew Kosmos and his wife Tracey; brother: Donald Reeder; grandchildren Joshua and wife Citlalli, Codey, Connar & Degan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband: Tom Kosmos, parents: Herbert & Vernita Reeder and a brother: Raymond Reeder.  

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Olney Cemetery, Pendleton, Oregon with a reception to follow at Roosters Restaurant at 11:45 A.M.
