James J. “Jim” Tennant of Hermiston, was born on October 14, 1942 in Great Falls, Montana to parents, George and Betty Tennant. He died on March 28, 2025 in hermiston, Oregon at the age of 82 years. Jim was raised and attended school in Montana. He served in the United States Army from 1962 until his honorable in 1970. Jim lived in Milton Freewater and worked as a corrections officer in Walla Walla, Washington for many years. He moved to Hermiston, Oregon over 20 years ago to be near his family. Jim enjoyed dogs, fishing and was an avid 49er’s and Cincinnati Red’s Fan.
He is survived by his sister: Georgianna Dyer, Hermiston, OR; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Dan Tennant; sisters Bonnie Tennant and Virginia “Jeanne” Bridges.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
