James “Jim” Prewitt

DOB 2/3/1948 – 2/28/2025

Jim Prewitt passed away 2/28/2025 peacefully in Boise, ID surrounded by family and love. Jim was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Jim enjoyed his career in Auto Body which he began at the age of 15. He was relocated to Boardman, OR while serving in the Navy. He made Hermiston, OR his home where he was involved with the community whether it meant he was coaching soccer or teaching high school students the art of auto body work. Jim had a big heart and was willing to help anyone in need.

He leaves behind his three children: Chris Prewitt (Shey Hendon), Jeremie Prewitt (Cyndi Prewitt), and Shannon Scott (Duane Scott) along with grandchildren Davin Prewitt (Chelsea Badoux), Seth Prewitt, Skylar Prewitt (Cody Lindsay), Ayden Prewitt (Hailey Ullery), JaNessa Prewitt, Austin Fields (Baily Fields), Justin Fields (Rachel Fields), and Laiklyn Fields. Jim also had 7 great grandchildren with number 8 expected any day. 

A celebration of life will be held on May 10th at 3pm at Shannon Scott's home..
