James Richard Thompson

James Richard Thompson of Hermiston was born December 1, 1938 in Hermiston, Oregon the son of Joseph and Pearl Thompson. He passed away in Hermiston on February 6, 2026 at the age of 87.

James grew up and attended in the Hermiston area. He served in the US Army from 1961 to 1964 where he was stationed in Germany.

He was married to Nancy Thompson who preceded him in death on June 5, 2017.

He is survived by a sister, Lillie who resides in California; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed!

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 7, 2026 at the Hermiston First Christian Church 775 W. Highland Avenue Hermiston, OR.
