With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Newell Rowden, who left us on June 12, 2025, at the age of 60. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, James will be remembered for his generous spirit, easy laugh, and love for the outdoors.

James spent 37 dedicated years working at Marlette Homes, rising through the ranks and earning numerous promotions. In his final role as a training coach, he found true fulfillment in mentoring others and sharing the knowledge he had worked hard to gain. He approached this role, like everything else in life, with passion and pride.

Outside of work, James’s heart belonged to the woods and open trails. He found joy in hunting, fishing, riding snowmobiles, and tearing through trails on his 4-wheeler. These weren’t just hobbies, they were a way of life and a connection to the people and places he loved most.

James is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Rowden; his children, Stephanie Joanis, Stacee Robledo, Shyla Rowden, and James III Rowden; and his five cherished grandchildren, Jaxson, Logan, Emilia, Kellen, and Adelaide, who brought endless joy into his life.

James’s presence will be missed, but his stories, laughter, and unwavering strength will remain in our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held on June 26, 2025, at 3:00pm at Burns Mortuary, where friends and family will gather to honor a life well lived and deeply loved.
