Gary White Obituary

Gary Irvin White of Irrigon was born August 30, 1941 in Weiser, Idaho the son of Oren and Meriel (Smith) White. He passed away at his home in Irrigon on March 31, 2024 at tha age of 82 years.

Gary attended schools in California and Emmett, Idaho. After high school, he worked at the Boise Cascade Mill in Emmett, Idaho and farmed for Bob Steele working as a row cropper. In the 1970's he moved to Hines, Oregon where he worked for Edward Hines Lumber Mill as a Hyster Operator until the late 1980's. In 1990, he moved to Irrigon, Oregon and began his career with ConAgra Foods in Boardman. He retired from ConAgra Foods in 2006.

Gary was an avid story teller, he loved going sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River and deer hunting. 

Gary married Patsy Paxton on March 30, 1961 in Nampa, Idaho.

He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Patsy; children, Rodney and wife Kim White of Port Orchard, WA, RaNae and husband Howard Palmer of Burns, OR, Mike White of Elko, NV and Carolyn and husband Randy Smith of Elko, NV; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Warner White.

As per Gary’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.  Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
