Gary George Cooper was born on February 14, 1950 in Pendleton, Oregon and passed away on May 28, 2026 in Hermiston, Oregon.
Gary was the son of George and Bea (Smith) Cooper. He grew up in Hermiston, Oregon where he graduated High School. Gary did high scaling early on in his career, followed by many different kinds of construction jobs and working at the Coal Fire Plant.
Gary would marry the love of his life, Anita in May of 1979 and they would welcome their first son December of 1979. They would go on to have their second child in February of 1982.
He loved hunting, fishing, music and camping. He did compete in rodeo; bull riding and bareback and even winning himself a few belt buckles.
He is survived by wife Anita Carol Cooper, his two sons Cain (Shambra) Cooper, Dusty (Angela) Cooper, and brother Jess (Ida) Cooper. Seven Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, George and Bea Cooper, sister Sheila Alford and brother Jack Cooper.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
