Frances Harmon Obituary

Obituary
Frances Karen Jacobson Harmon born 5 May 1936 in Provo, Utah, and returned to her heavenly home 30 April 2021 from Orem, Utah. She was preceded by her husband of 37 years, Murray Lawrence Harmon. Her parents: William LeRoy and Mildred Slaughter Jacobson. Her siblings: Betty [Robert] Harrison, Yvonne(Bonnie) [Rich] Fisher, and Richard(Dick) [Carma] Jacobson.
She is survived by her sister Marilyn [Gregory-deceased] Loader. Her children: R. Bradley [Andrea] Harmon, R. Bruce Harmon, JaNae [Ben] Miller, Janice Harmon, and JaLayne Newsome. Her grandchildren: Brad’s children; Jennifer [Jeffrey] Wall, Christopher Harmon [Corby Bivans] and Sarah Harmon. JaNae’s children; Hyrum and Hope Miller. JaLayne’s children; Aleia and T’yanna Newsome. Her four great-grandchildren: Jennifer’s children; Carson, Maylee, Zander, and Daphne Wall.
Karen was often found creating and making by hand beautiful floral arrangements, crafts, bows, ornaments, and decorations for any occasion and all holidays! She was the crafting lady who loved to decorate her home by hand with love.
She had a wonderfully amazing memory, which made her a great historian and chef! She would cook from memory as well as create her own masterpieces. She kept her brain sharp doing crossword puzzles, brain teasers and by retelling stories about all the people she knew or read about.
She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She did not let distance keep her from being a part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.
She may have been small in size, but her heart and tenacity more than made up the difference. She was a hard worker whether on the job or at home. She had a quick wit a great sense of humor, often doubling people over from laughter.
She was a loved and beloved mother and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again.
There will be a celebration gathering for family and friends on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 2-4p at The Church of Jesus Christ’s of Latter-day Saints’ Lakeridge Stake Center located at 158 East 1100 South, Orem, Utah.
