Esteban Rodarte

Esteban Rodarte of Umatilla was born June 17, 1985 in Hermiston the son of Jose and Micaela (Montes) Rodarte. He passed away in Umatilla on Monday May 30, 2022 at the age of 36.

Esteban grew up in Hermiston where he attended school and graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 2003. He worked at the Walmart Distribution Center in Hermiston for ten years. He then owned and operated the Grow Bright Store in Hermiston for six years. He has been working as a material Handler for the Electrical Union #112 for the past five months. 

Esteban enjoyed spending time with his kids and had coached Grid Kids and AAU Basketball programs. He loved the outdoors, going camping and kayaking. He also served as a youth leader at Zeal Church in Hermiston.

Esteban married Cynthia Grant in Boardman, Oregon on June 15, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Cynthia; five children, Gabriella, Izayah, Naeyeli, Gianna and Lorenzo; Grandson, Zaiden; father; Jose and Angelita (Rodriguez Fernandez) Rodarte; mother, Micaela Rodarte; two brothers, Adolfo and Alex Rodarte; sister, Veronica Rodarte; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by both of his grandmothers, Petra De Leon and Maria Montes; and brothers, May and Luis Jaime.

A Funeral will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday June 8, 2022 at the Zeal Church (739 E. Hurlburt St. Hermiston, Oregon). Burial will follow in the Hermiston Cemetery. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
