Erline Joan Owen

Erline Joan Owen was born March 16, 1933 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Thelma Bently. She passed away in Boise, Idaho on December 2, 2022 at the age of 89.

Erline was raised in Nebraska by her grandparents, Earl and Goldie Phillips where she attended school. She moved to California as a teenager where she lived for several years. In the 1950's she resided in Phoeniz, Arizona for many years. She moved to Oregon for the first time in the 1960's. She lived in various places until settling back in Oregon in the 1990's, making Hermiston her home for over twenty years.. 

Erline had a strong faith and attending her church and reading her bible were central to her life. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Linda) Gosnell; two granddaughters, Kelly and Anne and five additional grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Owen; daughter, Susie; son, Earl; her parents and all of her siblings, two grandchildren and one great grandson.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday May 13, 2023 at the Hermiston Cemetery. A Celebration will follow at 1:00 P.M. at McNary Park in Umatilla. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
