Elaine Ruby (Aldrich) Lindquist

Elaine Ruby Lindquist of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on October 4, 1927 in Boy River, Minnesota to parents, Edward and Tressie (Newman) Aldrich. She passed away on December 16, 2025 in Kennewick, Washington at the age of 98 years. In 1940, the family moved to Elk River, Minnesota where she graduated from high school in 1945. In 1946, the family moved to Eastern Oregon, settling in the Hermiston area. Elaine married her high school sweetheart, Melvin L. Lindquist on September 15, 1946 after he returned from serving 4 years in the Navy. Elaine worked at Lamb Weston in Hermiston, Oregon for several years. She was a member of New Hope Community Church in Hermiston, Oregon. Elaine enjoyed flowers, knitting, music, jigsaw puzzles, traveling with Melvin on his motorcycle and their RV and spent many winters Snowbirding in Arizona. 

She is survived by her son: Jerry Lindquist, Kennewick, WA; grandchildren: Sara Jared, Cody & Meranda; and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Melvin, 2 sons: Randy & Gene Lindquist; brother: Leslie Aldrich; sister: Eleanor Sage and 2 grandsons: Ryan and Stacey. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
