E. Elaine (Darrow) Wallace

Elaine Wallace was born October 5, 1935 in Wenatchee Washington to parents Cleal and Ethel Darrow. She grew up in Washington and Oregon, graduating high school in Weston Oregon. She married her high school sweetheart, Forrest Baker in 1954 and they had 3 children, Debra, Teresa and Kevin.

Elaine moved to Hermiston Oregon in 1960 with her husband and children, where she lived until relocating to Pendleton Oregon, eventually moving to Clearwater Florida with her 2nd husband, Ladd Wallace. She and Ladd moved back to Hermiston to be near family, in the early 90’s where she remained until her death, December 31st 2021.

Elaine was preceded in death by her second husband, of 25 ½ years, Ladd Wallace, both of her parents, her 3 brothers, Ted, Vaughn and Verlin Darrow, an infant great grandson, Dyllon Lundquist, several Aunts, Uncles and cousins and her grandparents.

Elaine is survived by her 3 children, Debra (Mike) DeWitt, Teresa (Tim) Curtis and Kevin (Natalie) Baker; 7 Grandchildren Brandi (Jason) Burger, Jayme Lundquist, Erica Baker, Justen Baker, Baelie Baker, Cassie Bordelon, Cody Myers and 2 Great Grandchildren, Braden and Leilani; numerous Brother and Sister in laws and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elaine’s greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren. She loved going to Church and Bible study. She worked with daughter Debra at Mailing Made Easy up until the age of 83. She always enjoyed working with and meeting the public.

She spent her last 3 years living at Guardian Angels in Hermiston, where she met many new friends. She passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 86.

At her request there will be no service.
