Donna Tassie Obituary

Donna L. Tassie of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on August 1, 1941 in Upland, California to parents, Lloyd “Don” and Lola Jean (Keith) Hess. She died on July 6, 2026 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 84 years. Donna’s family moved to Hermiston, Oregon when she was 6 so that her father could help build the McNary Dam. She attended schools in Hermiston, Graduating from Hermiston High School in the class of 1959. Donna married Marvin Coombes and they had 4 daughters: Kathy, Julie, Cindy and Kelly. They lived in various places before returning to Hermiston in 1975 and later divorced. Donna married Ralph Tassie in 1979. She owned and operated A-1 Property Management in Hermiston for over 30 years. She had been a member of Altrusa International and the Hermiston Eagles Lodge.
Donna enjoyed playing bingo, casino excursions, was an avid reader and loved animals.

She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Miller, Julie Schreck, Cindy Storie and Kelly Alderson and her husband Roger; sister: Veneita Mathews; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph, her parents, and a granddaughter: Shandi Snyder.

At her request there will be no service.

A private burial will be at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
