Donald E. “Don” Jorgensen was born on January 30, 1949 in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada to parents, Ernest “Ernie” and Margaret Jorgensen. He died on September 1, 2023 at his home in Irrigon, Oregon despite the efforts of the Irrigon EMT’s at the age of 74 years. Don spent most of his life in Irrigon, Oregon, where he played on the championship football team in his senior year and graduated. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years during Vietnam, before his honorable discharge. He and his father Ernie started Jorgensen Trucking over 50 years ago. Don has hauled hundreds of loads of watermelons and various produce to Portland as well as equipment, lumber, plastic pipe and just about anything else you can think of over the last 50 years. He had a passion for working on and fixing automobiles.
He is survived by his wife: Susan Jorgensen, Irrigon, OR; children: Shawn Jorgensen (Claudia) live in Florida with their sons: Noah and Daniel, Erik Jorgensen (Samantha) live in Tennessee with their daughters: Emily and Elice, Stephanie McCullough (Jason) live in Umatilla, OR; brother: Bud Jorgensen (Margo), Ontario, Canada; very special friends: Glenn Pardue, Gary Scott, Marla Haney, Wade Aylett, Al Phillips, Criss Veenstra, Brian Bell, Gary David & his wife Shirley, Dick Patterson & his wife Tina, Koby, Paul, Jason and the "Botsford Boys."

Don was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life and potluck gathering will be held on Saturday, November 4 at 1:00 pm at Windmill Farms near Irrigon.
