Delores Elva Dummert

Delores Elva Dummert of Hermiston was born December 13, 1933 in Lebanon, Oregon the daughter of Steven and Florence (Evans) Carroll. She passed away in Hermiston on Sunday December 26, 2021 at the age of 88.

Delores grew up in Lebanon where she attended school and graduated from Lebanon High School. In 1952 she met Eugene Dummert and the couple were united in marriage on June 27, 1952 in Lebanon. They lived in Springfield, Oregon from the early 1960's through the early 1970's. They moved to Hermiston in the late 1970's for a time. They later lived in California and Arizona before moving back to Hermiston in 2008.

Delores was a lifelong Lutheran and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Hermiston. She always remembered family and friends birthdays and special events by sending them a card.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Dummert; sister, Norma Brady; brother, Richard Carroll; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene in 2009; son, Theodore Robert Dummert in 1988; and a daughter, Margie Louise Phillips.

A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday January 3, 2022 in Burns Mortuary Chapel. A Private burial will be in the Hermiston Cemetery. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
