David "Dave" A Bondurant

David Andrew “Dave” Bondurant of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on October 1, 1940 in Walla Walla, Washington to parents Joseph and Frances Parrish Bondurant. He died on September 30, 2020 in Richland, Washington at the age of 79 years. Dave married Eleanor Mahala on June 14, 1960 in Goldendale, Washington. They lived in Central and Eastern Oregon where Dave worked in farming before settling in Hermiston, Oregon. Eleanor passed away in 1980. He later married Mary Oakley in Hermiston, Oregon. Dave worked in construction for many years and spent the last 8 years at Payless Lumber before he retired. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends, watching sports, especially the Seahawks, Mariners and Beavers, taking drives, hunting and dancing. Dave cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons: Phil Bondurant (Debbie), Covington, WA and David Bondurant (Sheila), Eugene, OR; daughters: Joellen Dilla (Darren), Hillsboro, OR, Sara Barnett (Tom), Hermiston, OR, Andrea Gire (Dan), Pasco, WA, Melissa Porter, Pasco, WA, and Hollie Vaughan (Thomas), Hermiston, OR; brother: Richard Bondurant (Dianna), Hermiston, OR; sisters: Inez Griffels (Steve), Hillsboro, OR, Bonnie Marks (Don), Imnaha, OR and Kay Justice (Ray), St. Helens, OR; sister-in-law: Marilyn Bondurant, Elgin, IL; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Dave was preceded in death by his wife: Eleanor Bondurant; his parents, brothers: John and Tim Bondurant; sisters-in-law: Hazel and Janie Bondurant; and a grandson: Michael Vaughan

A graveside service following state guidelines will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon. Please feel free to bring a chair for your comfort.
