Darlene D. Smith

Darlene D. Smith of Hermiston was born September 19, 1933 in Huron, South Dakota the daughter of Fred and Ruby (Dinneen) Remus. She passed away in Hermiston on Saturday November 30, 2024 at the age of 91years.

Darlene moved with her family to Dixie, Washington where she attended school and graduated from high school. When she was 16, she met Alex R. Smith while at a Halloween party. The couple were united in marriage when she turned 18.

The couple lived in Canada and later California before moving to Hermiston in the late 1970's. She has resided in the Hermiston area for the past forty five years.

Darlene was committed to taking care of her family. She enjoyed attending the Cowboy Church in Hermiston when she was able to.

She is survived by a son, Alex Smith Jr.; Daughters, Debra Morrow and Jody Bonney; nine grandchildren, over 20 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

A Private family service will be held at a later time. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
