Dario John Godinez was born on October 20, 1958 in Hermiston, Oregon to parents, James and Lois (Lopez) Godinez. He died on October 27, 2025 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 67 years. Dario was raised and attended schools in Redmond, Oregon. He returned to Hermiston, Oregon in 1979 where he has lived since. Dario worked as a hyster driver for the State of Oregon Department of Agriculture and for the Yakima Gospel Mission. Dario loved baseball old black and white Westerns on TV, Louis Lamour Books, going for drives, was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan who loved his family dearly. He will fondly be remembered as "Dog Leg" & Thriller.
He is survived by his sisters: Christina Johnston, Redmond, OR, Lauren Leaton, Hermiston, OR, Evelyn Dubisar, Redmond, OR, Alicia Godinez, Hermiston, OR, Vivian Godinez Sullivan, Pendleton, OR; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dario was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Ermin & Richard Godinez, and nephew Brandon Sullivan.
A graveside gathering will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
