Cynthia “Cindy” Lapel of Hermiston was born March 3, 1960 in Albuquerue, New Mexico the daughter of Alice Grassi. She passed away on Saturday September 13, 2025 in Hermiston at the age of 65.
Cindy lived in many places before moving to Hermiston, Oregon in 2006. She has worked at the Hermiston Home Depot for the past seventeen years where she worked as a Pro Accounts Associate and helped contractor with materials for jobs. She was well respected and valued for her job skills.
Cindy was known as a very hard, dedicated and determined worker at every job she held. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was a very talented artist. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the bowling league and going to the horse tracks where she cared for horses,. She loved her grandchildren and family very much.
She is survived by her three daughters, Charlie (Allen) Iverson, Dallas (John) Monahan and Connie Lapel; several brothers and sisters; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her husband, John in 2024 and by a young son and daughter.
Services will be announced at a later time. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
