Crystal Y. Cooke

Crystal Yvonne Cooke of Hermiston was born January 19, 1984 in Eureka, CA. She passed away in Hermiston, Oregon on April 19, 2023 at the age of 39.

Crystal grew up in Orleans, CA and graduated from Hoopa High School in the Class of 2002. She attended community college for a couple years after high school. As a young adult, she continued to live in Orleans where she enjoyed her life on “The River” and loved her Native American (Yurok Tribe) heritage. In 2013 ,she moved to Hermiston, Oregon where she has resided for the past ten years. 

Crystal was always dedicated to her work and was employed as a caregiver for several years. She was always an open door to family or friends. She was known for her loving heart and willingness to help other people. Her family was a very important part of her life.

Crystal married Trevor Cooke on September 11, 2010 in Orleans, CA.

She is survived by her husband, Trevor Cooke Sr.; four children, Jacoby Cooke, Trevor Cooke, Jr., Gunnar Cooke and Sandra Cooke; mother, Michelle Gower; maternal grandmother, Diane Brock; father, John Lollich; siblings, Elijah (Tracy Green) Johnson, Cherrish Brown, Johnny Erickson, Clarissa Erickson and Cacy Parker; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Marion Lollich and Jim Lollich; mother-in-law, Sandra Fain; and an uncle Edward Werner.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday April 28, 2023 at the Burns Mortuary Chapel (685 W. Hermiston Ave Hermiston, OR 97838).
