Celso De La Cruz

Celso De La Cruz of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on April 8, 1929 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico to parents, Florencio De La Cruz and Isabel Salinas. He died on June 25, 2026 in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 97 years. Celso married Narcisa Trevino on December 31, 1958 in Mexico. They moved to Hermiston, Oregon in 1976 where he has lived since. Celso worked on various ranches and area farms. He enjoyed working with and training horses, playing pool and cherished time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son: Eddie De La Cruz and his wife Gloria, San Antonio, TX; daughter: Juanita Arellano and her husband Hector, Hermiston, OR; grandchildren: Eddie Jr., Eloy, Alex, Jessica, Melissa, Alba, Kassandra & Hector Jr.; 7 great grandchildren; brother: Benigno De La Cruz; sisters: Elva Garcia, Leonila Elizondo, Delfina Trevino & Aurora De La Cruz and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celso was preceded in death by his wife: Narcisa De la Cruz; his parents; sisters: Ana De la Cruz, Imelda De La Cruz, Ofelia De La Cruz & Maria Garcia and a brother: Cruz De La Cruz.     

Visitation and a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
