Amado “Jr” Victor Nino of Hermiston was born February 17, 1960 in Dimmit, Texas the son of Amado Vargas Nino and Michaela Delgado becoming a true Dallas Cowboy fan. Amado was raised in Mud Lake, Idaho with his sister Helen and younger brothers Jimmy, Tommy and Daniel.

Amado started his career of being a truck driver of over 40 years at an early age of 15. He drove truck for several different companies throughout his career. He continued working for local trucking companies once he moved to Hermiston in 1990. 

Amado and Lisa were married on September 2, 1986. They went on to raise three cildren; Lyssa 41 of Pocatello, ID, Ty 36 and McKenzie 35, both of Hermiston.

On January 10th, 2014, Amado was diagnosed with Colon cancer. For the next 10 years you would find him spending time with family. He attended as many of the grandkids activities as he could. Sporting events, concerts and graduations as well as weddings. If he wasn’t hanging out with family, he was out on a lake or river casting a pole with his fishing buddies. Amado lost his battle with cancer on January 9, 2024 one day short of 10 years. 

Amado Victor was survived by his wife Lisa; son Ty; daughters, McKenzie (Freddy) and Lyssa; siblings, Helen, Jimmy, Tommy and Daniel; grandchildren, Trystan, Nataley, Ely Sauer, Kane, Joel, Gracie, Paige, Rhoen Nino and Julian Nino-Gonzalez; great grandchild, Brylee Sauer. He was preceded in death by his parents Amado and Michalea and grandson Payton Sauer.

Viewing will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday January 19 (Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M.) and Saturday January 20 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Burns Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 20, 2024 at the Burns Mortuary Chapel. A Private family burial will be in the Hermiston Cemetery
